Leading online jobs board LoveLocalJobs.com is working closely with four chosen charities, providing them with free advice and services, including recruitment advertising, marketing and access to the business community.

The four organisations beat dozens of entries to win the backing of LoveLocalJobs.com, a family of jobs boards that exists to help overcome local barriers to work through greater access to jobs, apprenticeships, work placements, career advice and training.

BrightonandHoveJobs.com is working with The Brighton & Hove Youth Collective, an organisation made up of eight youth groups which support young people across Brighton and Hove. The groups now work together to deliver a more efficient and co-ordinated programme of youth activities across Brighton and Hove to better meet the needs of young people living in the city.

GatwickDiamondJobs.com has partnered the Golden Lion Children’s Trust as its chosen charity. The Trust was founded in 1973 by people working at Gatwick Airport and supports children with special needs and disadvantaged young people from Sussex, parts of Surrey and Kent.

CoastalWestSussexJobs.com is supporting Family Support Work, which has beenworking in the Sussex area since 1890, so will soon be celebrating 125 years supporting families.  They work intensively with families through our many activities including home visits, support groups, one-to-one meetings, drop-ins as well as supported breaks with their community workers.

Finally, 1066Jobs.com is supporting Little Gate Farm, a care farm project which supports adults with learning difficulties, mental health problems, acquired brain injuries or early onset dementia.

Lynda Guy, Chairman of the Golden Lion Children’s Trust, said: “The relationship between our organisation and GatwickDiamondJobs is invaluable. We are always looking for different ways to reach the business community. It’s not just about giving money – we also need their skills and professional advice and LoveLocalJobs.com is a prime example of that!”

Nicky Binning, Managing Director of LoveLocalJobs.com, said: “Much of our work focuses on opening up pathways for people to enter work and gain valuable training and life experiences, and so we are thrilled to be working with four charities which share our goals and aspirations.

“We were delighted with the interest we received in the scheme, which goes from strength to strength, and choosing our four charities was a real challenge.”

The LoveLocalJobs.com charity of the year schemes gives each charity a dedicated page on each jobs board, dedicated e-newsletters to the local audience, advertising opportunities across the site, free recruitment advertising for the whole of 2014 and many more associations with this multi award winning business.

Yoddi Papa, Trustee of SafetyNet who won the 2013 initiative, said: “Since SafetyNet were chosen by BrightonandHoveJobs.com as one of their charities in 2013 we have been able to extend the reach of our activity and raise our profile significantly.  Thanks to BrightonandHoveJobs.com raising our profile, we have had significant interest from a number of organisations with the latest coming from Disney Penguin.”
