These are very exciting times for Portslade with the opening of Portslade Aldridge Community Academy (PACA) on 1st September 2011.
The Academy presents a fantastic opportunity to provide our community with a school that delivers really high standards and has fantastic facilities that we can all be proud of.
PACA will ensure that every student experiences success and is given the best possible preparation for their adult lives. As such, they pledge to make a difference to the life chances of every student attending PACA by:
- Unlocking their potential and secure success for all

- Helping them develop the entrepreneurial skills and qualities required to be highly successful adults in a rapidly changing world

Principal’s message:
I am passionate about the success of the Academy and all the students in our care. We are at the heart of the local community and strive to be a vibrant, caring and innovative learning community with high expectations and aspirations. We have secured significant funding to ensure the Academy will benefit from an exciting rebuild and regeneration. We will develop the best facilities and new technologies so as to provide the learning environment fit for the 21st century.
We want every student to enjoy their learning and achieve to their full ability and are totally committed to providing the highest quality education for all members of our learning community. We believe that every student can achieve success at school and will ensure that we ‘unlock the potential’ in all our students.
Our specialism are Science and Entrepreneurism. In order to fulfil our vision for dynamic learning, we need to work in partnership with the local community and business world. Our students need to see where their current education will take them.
We expect our students to take responsibility for their learning and provide all the support necessary to help secure success. We want PACA students to be fully prepared for their adult life and we will equip them with the skills, attributes and qualifications necessary to be highly successful in a rapidly changing world. All learners are valued at PACA and ensuring a successful future for all students is of utmost importance to us.
