The role will focus on taking bookings and responding to customer enquiries. You will gain a range of customer service, administration, organisational and communication skills. You will also learn how to use our electronic booking and ticketing software. 

The course is run by City College Brighton & Hove who is responsible for supporting you with your learning and carrying out assessments. The course has core modules to complete and a number of optional units. Your work experience will be linked to the modules and units in your course. You will receive additional support from a nominated mentor, throughout the duration of the Apprenticeship. 

Apprentices will learn how to operate our booking and ticketing system, taking bookings for various clients (travel trade, schools, families, individual visitors) for a variety of activities across our venues. You will learn to process payments by credit/debit card, cheque and bank transfer. You will be answering incoming emails and phone calls for the whole of The Royal Pavilion & Museums, re-directing them as necessary. Apprentices will learn to maintain paper and electronic diaries to manage room bookings across our venues. You will learn how to provide information on ticket sales to venue managers. You will provide advice and information on visiting the Royal Pavilion & Museums and the city more generally. 

Apprentices will receive a training allowance of £5.30ph/£10,225 per annum and will be working towards a Level 2 Business Administration.
