C&H are looking for a Full Time Stock Keeper in our store on West Street, Horsham. Candidates must have reasonable computer skills and be comfortable with manual handling. This role is ideally suited for someone with an appetite for hard work, who enjoys the accuracy and precision of an administrative role, but who is not wary of the physicality involved in handling or moving large quantities of stock. Role of Stock Keeper: The responsibility of the role is to efficiently operate the stock receipt function of this retail store. Liaising with couriers, booking delivered goods onto the electronic stock control system and printing appropriate ticketing. Ensuring at all times that merchandise is quickly processed for sale on shop floor. Stock Receipt: Accepting and booking in all deliveries. Moving parcels into Stockroom. Checking for damaged / short deliveries. Booking In: Checking goods against Delivery Note and Purchase Orders. Stamping Delivery Notes and ensuring correct dating and allocation to departments. Passing Epos stock paperwork to Stock administrator for entry onto system. Weighing fabrics and transferring information onto swing tickets. Correctly pricing and ticketing goods. Advising Manager of any queries / errors in deliveries. Present the delivery notes to the Managers on a weekly basis for checking. Stock Movement: Deliver to, or notify floors when stock is ready for sale. Raise Debits and securely package any items for return to suppliers. Ensuring that collection or posting is arranged. Prepare and record intercompany transfers from Store to Store for the weekly company van run. General Admin: Filing system to be kept up to date. Records and files to be kept in order and easily accessible. Ensure that all merchandise entering and leaving goods receipt area is accounted for. Ensure security of area. Never leaving doors open or area unmanned. Awareness of Health and Safety issues. Ensure all waste is regularly cleared. Assist with answering the telephone. Assist with Stocktaking preparation. Provide cover for Stock Administrator. Follow any reasonable request from your Store Manager or Head Office team.
