Team Leader, Test Automation Permanent, based Crawley, West Sussex As a Team Lead for Test Automation at Elekta, you will have the exciting opportunity to use your expertise to support and shape the development of revolutionary new products to the market. You will be responsible for developing and leading a dedicated automation team of 4 in order to meet the needs of the department and business stratgey. Qualifications The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience skills and behaviours: Degree in an Engineering discipline ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing is desirable Strong experience in SQL, Scripting, and working through APIs -Ideally HPALM OTA. Long term experience of R&D in a management/ Team leader position Knowledge of medical terminology and the regulatory framework Experience in Software and system test automation. Knowledge of Test Management tools, ideally HP ALM System administrator, server management and dba skills are highly desirable Good use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio) Experience of business requirements gathering and analysis Good understanding of the software development and test lifecycle and experience of the tools used to support them Personal skills of leadership, organisation and communication. Good negotiator and communicator using both written and oral medium and fluent in English Ability to work autonomously Dedication to quality Enthusiasm, Flexibility, Team-working Ability to problem solve Methodical and structured in approach Having high level of attention to detail Being self-motivated and pre-emptive Ability to work under pressure Willingness to learn and develop Responsibilities Responsibilities To set long term plans and strategies to ensure the tools, skills and processes used in system Test automation develop to meet the needs of the project teams consistent with the Department Strategy. To set long term plans and strategies to ensure the tools, skills and processes used in test management across the full product development lifecycle develop to meet the needs of the project teams consistent with the Department Strategy. To support all aspects and levels of HP ALM and to troubleshoot both user and application issues To plan, agree and achieve budget targets for the functional departments, including travel and tools maintenance Ensure conformance with Systems Safety and Verification Section policy (and best practice) regarding development processes, tools usage, local work instructions, standards and metrics requirements, systems engineering and re-use. Manage budgets for upgrades and maintenance of the tools used To monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. The provision of human resources to the Systems Test Automation and Test Management Tools support teams, and the management of recruitment, recognition and discipline. To ensure that members of the section receive adequate training to support the business needs and to assist their career development. To conduct annual reviews of personnel. The technical knowledge and excellence of their staff.
