37 hours per week (term-time only)
Responsible to: Assistant Headteacher
Are you interested in improving the life chances of young people, particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds?
Patcham High School is looking to appoint a Grit and Resilience Co-ordinator to work with our students in order to drive our innovative programme to engage young people in extracurricular activities. The successful person will work directly with a member of the Senior Leadership Team and be pivotal in contributing to our ethos and values. The post is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension of contract thereafter.
The post is a new addition to our team so the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the job. We have already established links with local and national providers such as Harlequins Rugby Club, Albion in the Community and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme. You may already have existing experience in outdoor education and extracurricular provision. The successful candidate will be a creative problem solver who is able to act upon their own initiative and be able to forge positive relationships within and beyond the school community. Experience of fundraising and outdoor qualifications would be beneficial, although we will support the successful candidate with an excellent CPD package.
The hours are 37 hours per week, mainly within our core hours of 8.00am-4.00pm Monday to Friday, although the successful candidate will need to be flexible with some early morning, weekend, and evening work required. The contract is for term time only, 46 weeks per year.
The starting salary will be £18,095.
