Job Role: They are looking to develop and strengthen their IT operation and seek a technically strong, commercially minded, customer facing Pre Sales Consultant to provide a pre/post sales consultancy / leadership on a range of technologies. These include Cloud Computing, particularly around the Microsoft Cloud, networking, virtualisation, perimeter security, Wi-Fi and unified comms into the customer base, which is typically SME (sub 250 users). Key aspects of the role of include: Provide technical pre/post sales consultancy to customers and to the sales teams based out of the offices in Kent, Sussex, Hants, London, across MS Cloud - particularly Office 365 - Networking, (IPVPN, MPLS, WAN, LAN, Ethernet) Unified Comms (VoIP, Skype for Business, etc.) Present standard and non-standard technical solutions to customers in conjunction with the sales team, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and commercially viable. Become a stakeholder with the team regarding the selection of product portfolio and contribute towards how to take product and services to market evaluate designs using network diagrams, configurators, calculators, etc. Assist with the creation of proposals, tenders, RFPs etc. Be a challenger and not afraid to think differently. The Candidate: Applications from individuals with good communication and customer facing skills currently in an operations or relevant implementation role looking to become more commercial are welcome. Candidates lacking in certain areas in networking, virtualisation or unified comms will be provided with relevant support and development, although a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Cloud is essential. Individuals applying for the role of Pre-Sales Consultant should have the majority of the following skills and experience: Qualified or have practical experience equivalent to MS with a good understanding of the MS Cloud (MS MCP / MCSE would be an advantage). Have an overview of networking technologies such as in MPLS, VPNs, TCPIP and Routing/Switching technologies. Have a broad experience of Virtualisation (Hyper V) and/or hosted services and managed services such as hosting in public cloud environments. Experience in Voice and/or Unified Communications, inc.
