Family Worker Role Overview Working within the prison, you will be responsible for coordinating and developing family/carer work with an emphasis on both supporting families/carers to identify and provide for their own needs as well as those of the service user. This is a unique role as you will be offering Family Worker interventions to all service users in the prison estate, rather than working solely with those whom present with a history of Substance Misuse. To take up this exciting opportunity you will be in possession of, or be working towards a recognised qualification in a related field (counselling, health & social care, nursing etc.) as well as experience or good knowledge of the criminal justice system and/or working with families.
