A Senior Quality Engineer/Quality Manager with experience in manufacturing environment is required for a permanent employment opportunity with a leading industrial electronics and energy management company based in Worthing, West Sussex. The role is offering a salary up to £55,000 per annum based on years of relevant industry experience. Key Responsibilities Ensure any manufacturing and supplier quality issues are dealt with effective with root cause diagnosis, and information leading to appropriate corrective / preventive action using 8D methodology. Participate and lead manufacturing continuous improvement [kaizen] initiatives. Implement and maintain key metrics, service levels and benchmarking initiatives to continuously improve Manufacturing and Supplier quality performance within the factory. Prepare and submit monthly Manufacturing Quality metrics and report. Effectively define, plan, implement and maintain quality control activities Ensure relevant quality control processes and procedures are effectively deployed and maintained Support the Production Manager in the day to day activities of quality control resources to ensure productivity and quality performance goals are achieved Support the production manager in the development and coaching of the Quality Control resources Maintain and ensure ongoing compliance of Manufacturing quality processes and procedures ISO 9001 and regulatory requirements Investigate, analyse and report on Manufacturing 'special case' product and process failures. Develop GSC and LoB quality partnerships Meet or exceed agreed and defined KPIs/project milestones Conduct Supplier Audits and develop supplier relationships to help improve supplier quality where required. Define and implement action plans to improve manufacturing process robustness using PFMEA Support departmental policies, procedural objectives and requirements Work in conjunction with Cluster Global Quality Leads and Managers to ensure an integrated approach to providing 'best in class' solutions. Interact with Quality professionals across the company to share best practice and capitalise on synergies. Perform Safety Tours. Skills / Experience Required Essential: Demonstrated experience in a Manufacturing environment. Relevant supervisory or management experience in Manufacturing and / or Operations or similar position, with an emphasis on either / or manufacturing / design / supply chain / service / quality. ISO 9001 awareness and practical application. Degree educated or HNC/D in Engineering, preferably Electronic, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Equivalent of 'Lean' Green Belt training desirable. Able to demonstrate good communication abilities. Quality experience in a regulated industry and engineering experience in a process based industry preferred.
