SAN, 3Par, HP Windows Engineer is required by successful Worthing based organisation to work within the Infrastructure Server team dealing with escalated and confidential incidents, problem and changes. The team implement, support, maintain and upgrade their core services. This post is particularly focused on supporting their Infrastructure services, working on firmware management, hardware replacement and SAN management. This is an infrastructure support role with components of project delivery required. Key Responsibilities: Responding to and resolving incidents and service requests both remotely and face to face, using specific call handling software (SCSM) Prioritise, analyse, track and escalate alerts in line with area protocols Manage incidents and service requests for users at several sites for all categories of 3rd line support as part of a team Work on projects, deployments and infrastructure enhancements Act as subject matter expert (SME) for the chosen SAN platforms- primarily HP MSA and 3Par(s) Using Microsoft System Centre, deploy applications, patches and OS builds to the Hyper-V and physical server estate Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for hardware issues including call ownership and management Apply ITIL methodology to deliver best practice in all areas To support regular disaster recovery tests during and outside business hours Key Requirements: Evidence of phone and remote Tier 2 to 3 end-user support and resolution to the end user's satisfaction Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Server, virtualisation and enterprise server support for multiple operating companies on a HP platform Good knowledge of 3Par, MSA and similar SAN infrastructure across multiple deployments and versions Good knowledge of firmware, patch and application monitoring and maintenance Good knowledge of System Centre (application deployment, alerting and similar awareness) General Active Directory account, security group, group policy and PowerShell based administration Good knowledge of IT Security - patching, threat detection and perimeter defence through to server and client This role will see you be rota based (within the hours of 0800 - 1730) with some out of hours support.
