An internatonally focussed Group Tax position within a large international business: What you will be doing As the (Group) Tax Manager you will responsible for; The tax compliance cycle for c30 active UK companies including; Prepare and submit corporate tax returns Manage quarterly corporate tax instalment calculations and payments Manage corporate tax grouping including group relief payments Prepare tax disclosures and tax journals for entity statutory accounts Withholding tax returns Group tax reporting under IFRS Tax forecasting - effective tax rate and cash tax Handling day to day HMRC relationship including tax audits /disputes (all taxes) Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) controls & sign-offs Controlled foreign company reporting for all foreign subsidiaries of UK companies Monitoring and responding to changes in tax law. Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing Masterfile Preparation of annual Country-by-Country reporting Tax governance / tax policy/tax risk reporting Support for treasury matters including external financing, internal loans, cash management, hedging. Review of VAT returns / Tour Operators Margin Scheme calculations Assist with tax compliance outside UK, including; monitoring corporate tax compliance status Assisting with tax audits / disputes (all taxes) Develop and gain/increase exposure to advisory work including; VAT including technicalities such as UK VAT grouping, TOMS and partial exemption. Transfer pricing advisory and documentation Employment tax support including expat tax issues, social security/ A1 processes, staff concessions, PSA, tax reward schemes, share schemes, benefits in kind, redundancies. Support for mergers & acquisitions, new business initiatives, business restructuring, and entry into new countries. You will also provide overall support to the Head of Tax. Requirements for the role: You will be a qualified accountant with experience of working in a varied tax role. Ideally you will have a background in both accountancy practice and industry.
