Web Systems Analyst
The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) is a leading global organisation for research, teaching and communication on international development based in Brighton
The Computer and Technical Services Team (CATS) at IDS is seeking to recruit a Web Systems Analyst who will be responsible for ensuring that all IDS web products are developed and maintained appropriately, to ensure that the products remain secure and highly available to visitors, and that the products meet agreed internal stakeholder expectations. The post holder will work with other IDS stakeholders to manage the outsourcing process of current web products and the development of new products via external sources. A key aspect of the role will be to manage outsourcing relationships ensuring that external providers provide services as per documented service level agreements (SLA's).
Applicants will have excellent skills in web content management systems (CMS) technical management and windows and Unix server core skills including patch management. They also need to demonstrate strong project management skills in terms of managing external website designers, outsourcing relationships with external hosting companies and also in outsourcing web products, IDS’ vision is a world in which poverty does not exist, social justice prevails and the voices of all people are heard in national and international institutions.
