£25,000 - £35,000 a year plus bonuses

Spiritus Ltd is looking for a skilled Bookkeep and or a Finance Manager experienced in using Xero, to help take care of the day to day financial responsibilities of the 3 affiliated businesses which are based in Brighton and Dublin.
We are a management company working in the hospitality sector which include bar, club, hotel and serviced apartments and are looking for someone who wants to become an integral part of our operation and assist us with our growth strategy which will also take us into other sectors. 

Apart from accurately recording all day-to-day financial transactions of our companies; it would be ideal if your contribution,in conjunction with our accountants, also extended to include the analysis of our financial affairs making recommendations based on your findings and ultimately steering us in a northward direction.

This is a full time role, but we can show some flexibility with the hours. From time to time travel to Ireland may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and recording our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments and completing the posting process.
  • Completion of daily postings
  • Verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger.
  • Bringing the books to the trial balance stage.
  • Preparing daily, weekly and monthly management reports.
  • Assisting with the preparation of staff payrolls.
  • Reconciliation of all accounts in Xero.
  • Recording day to day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
  • Bringing the books to the trial balance stage

Requirements:

  • Proven relevant experience
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Data entry and skills.
  • A passion for numbers.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software including Xero.
  • MS Office experience essential
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Desire to be part of a fast growing business.
