As a Facilities Assistant, you will help the Home’s Facilities Manager by carrying out a full range of general handy person duties including moving furniture, setting up rooms for functions, decorating vacant bedrooms, and general light repairs around the Home. You’ll also assist the Facilities Manager in collecting and recording data for building management systems, preparing health & safety risk assessments for external contractors and liaising with contractors when on site. Ideally, you’ll possess some practical building maintenance or handy person experience, along with some administrative experience and the ability to work on your own initiative. The ability to work flexibility and respond to the changing needs of the Home is a crucial part of this role. You’ll also share our values which are kind, supportive and trusted which will help you to engage with residents and relatives. It is essential that you can drive and have a full, clean driving licence.
