Events & Community Manager
Our beautiful hospice is situated in the heart of the Sussex countryside near Haywards Heath, providing specialist short and longer-term integrated palliative care.
A very exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, self-motivated, creative and enthusiastic person to join our successful Fundraising Team as an Events & Community Manager. Income from events is a vital part of our fundraising strategy, as is ensuring that we maintain and develop our organisational profile within the communities that we serve. With experience of organising and running successful fundraising events within a similar role, you will be able to demonstrate the significant contribution that you can make to our fundraising team. You will be responsible for developing and delivering the strategic direction for events and community fundraising, ensuring sustainable growth in net income for the Hospice.
Your enthusiastic and outgoing personality will be supported by a thorough knowledge of fundraising and events management. You will be required to report on income, expenditure and trends and evaluate results to inform and propose a future events programme. You will be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form with a wide variety of people and organisations. You should also be comfortable working within a team or on your own.
Core hours are 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday with a half hour unpaid break, however the role will require working some evenings and weekends to attend fundraising events etc.
Due to our location you must have your own transport and the post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
