Full time, temporary Contract (up to 12 months’ maternity cover)

This role will mainly be based in Hastings with regular travel to Brighton

The University of Brighton Academies Trust is seeking an experienced HR Manager join the Trust on a temporary basis to cover a period of maternity leave.

The main purpose of the role will be to provide professional support, advice and guidance to academy principals, the executive team and senior managers in relation to complex employee relations cases and other HR matters. You will also be responsible for the line management and coaching of the HR Advisors, HR Assistant and HR Administrator, ensuring an effective day-to-day service of HR operations.

The University of Brighton Academies Trust is a network of 15 academies across Sussex which all support each other – and the pupils – to excel. The Trust is sponsored by the University of Brighton and this close connection allows us to draw on a variety of expertise including that of the university’s school of education. You will have proven experience of managing a team and leading on change management projects, along with supporting complex employee relations cases and driving HR project work to support the team’s success criteria.
