Job Purpose 

The Trainee Lettings Negotiator will provide lettings and administrative support to the Lettings Team to ensure the smooth running of the Lettings Department and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Working closely with the Senior Lettings Negotiator, the post holder will be introduced to every aspect of the lettings function with the view to building the skills and knowledge required to progress into a Lettings Negotiator role.  This is an excellent opportunity to kick-start your career in the property industry.

SALARY NEGOTIABLE BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Main Responsibilities/Duties

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients.
  • Positively promoting the company brand and build the company’s reputation.
  • Welcome visitors to the office and assist with lettings enquiries.
  • Handle email and phone enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Booking appointments.
  • Carrying out viewings of properties in our Residential Lettings portfolio.
  • Carrying out inspections.
  • Carrying out inventories when tenants check-in and check-out of properties.
  • Drafting tenancy contracts for checking by the letting team senior negotiator.
  • Liaising with our third-party providers to arrange tenant referencing.
  • Liaising with Landlords and Tenants.
  • Updating of specified areas of the property management database.
  • Answer the telephone and deal with client/applicant/tenant queries promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate property inspections and booking viewing appointments.
  • Contact utility suppliers to inform of change of occupant.
  • Updating of specified areas of the property management database.

Ensuring tenant / contractor / landlord compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.

Qualifications And Training

  • Full clean UK driving licence.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Clear verbal, literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Accurate computer skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Competent and confident car driver.
  • Customer service skills including, excellent telephone manner, handling complaints and difficult people in a professional manner.
