Credit Control Officer
37 hours per week (52 weeks)
Main purpose and scope of the post:
- To liaise directly with students, general public and other members of staff to obtain missing documentation or establish suitable payment methods and to process payments. To offer advice regarding instalment plans, benefits evidence, continual professional development forms and sponsor confirmation forms to be completed, as per the college fees policy.
- To ensure all outstanding debt owed to the college is pursued on a timely basis.
- To act as primary intermediary contact for external college Credit Management Company.
- To work closely with Key stakeholders, both internal and external to the college (external Credit Management company, Student Finance England, CAB, Social Services, Care Sector, employers, students and all levels of staff).
The successful candidate will require proven experience in a similar finance role with a successful history of achieving targets and reducing debts. It will also be useful to have experience of working to resolve queries and issues directly with students. You will also need high level IT skills in Excel and Word and experience of using Finance systems.
