Brighton & Hove Business Forum is a not-for-profit company administering a range of projects to make Brighton [and other cities] safer places to live, visit and work. More information about our work can be found at www.bcrpbrighton.com , www.saferbusiness.org.uk , www.brightonbid.com.
We require a senior, experienced book-keeper either as an employee of the company or a freelancer working under contract. You must have:
- Excellent knowledge of Sage Line 50 accounts software
- Good knowledge of VAT processes
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good customer service skills
- Good written & verbal communication skills
- Good inter-personal skills
- Happy to work as part of a team
- Able to work under pressure sometimes (not often!)
You will be expected to:
- maintain accounts for four separate companies
- be responsible for invoicing our clients [including some payments by Direct Debit] and credit control
- pay supplier invoices
- be responsible for payroll (8 employees) and NEST pension payments
- produce VAT returns
- deal with account queries from customers
- contribute towards basic monthly reports for our clients
