Apprentice Engineer - Redhill
A really exciting opportunity to start an engineering apprenticeship at a company who champions their apprentices.
Duties on the shop floor will include:
- Basic manufacturing
- Working to drawings
- Working with our production manager
- Taught to operate manual machines
- Later on into your apprenticeship will learn CNC machines with operators
We do manufacture a vast range of components, as we are sub contractors, so the workload varies continuously.
Training to be Provided:
The intermediate level apprenticeship programme enables candidates to work towards a framework of qualifications, as follows:
Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations.
City and Guilds L2 Certificate in Engineering or
Level 2 Award in Industrial Environment Awareness. (in company)
Functional Skills (Level 1) in Math, English.
Personal Learning and Thinking Skills.
Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
Ability to listen, work on own initiative. Be keen to learn the skills.
English and Maths GCSE grade 4/C or above
Good timekeeping and able to listen
A full time position once qualified.

The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour effective from 1st April 2018. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
Good timekeeping is essential. Early start at 7.00 am. No overtime until we assess ability later on after apprenticeship is complete.
