We are looking to recruit a Service Desk Technician to join our small IT Department in Lewes, supporting approximately 1,000 Southdown staff in over 60 locations.

You will be the main point of contact for staff at all levels, offering a quick diagnosis of issues with clear, logical and methodical resolution support. The role also involves undertaking multiple administrative functions such as asset management, creating user accounts and email addresses. To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be self-motivated, confident at giving technical advice over the phone, approachable and great with people, be resolution focussed with an interest in seeing things through and content working in a small team.

This is a great opportunity to begin a career in IT and a potentially gain experience of 2nd and 3rdline support through a hands on approach. You’ll need to have a genuine interest in how IT operates in a corporate environment, be enthusiastic and willing to learn. We use technologies such as VMWare, Citrix, Windows 2016 Server, Exchange Server, SQL Server, Windows 7/Windows 10 Operating Systems as well the Microsoft 2016 Office suites. Ideally, you will have some awareness if these technologies as well as basic networking troubleshooting skills.
