Compliance System Officer

£15p/h - £19p/h d.o.e.

Haywards Heath, W Sussex

36 hours a week (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm with flexibility)

Minimum of 6 weeks (likely to be extended)

A new opportunity has become available for Compliance Officer at one of my established clients.

Main purpose of the role

To maintain accurate data on my clients Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) assets (e.g. lifts, Playgrounds, Fire Safety Equipment; Fire Risk Assessments; Fixed Wire Inspections) and to report on my clients compliance levels with servicing and assessment responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and robust asset data by undertaking regular analysis and reconciliations using all data sources available; investigating and resolving data discrepancies to improve data quality
  • Manage the M&E additions and removal process on their asset databases
  • Produce accurate monthly KPI Compliance reports
  • Utilise analytical skills to review large sets of data in line with agreed criteria, policy and processes
  • Implement and maintain performance tracking systems, techniques and reports to support assurances and/or concerns regarding compliance quality levels

Establish and maintain effective relationships with the Master Data Team; Property Services Contracts Surveyors, Contractors and their relevant departments to collaboratively implement processes

Assist in the production of robust processes and procedures to enhance data use and management

  • Experience in analysing large sets of data, creating concise conclusions and or solutions
  • Experience of undertaking reconciliations between multiple data sources
  • Advanced Excel skills - Able to produce reports, pivot, V-lookup, format, etc.
  • Excellent eye for detail and a thorough approach to tasks
  • Experience of using Database Management Systems to capture, update and analyse large data sets
  • Experience in driving continual improvement and mitigating risks associated with data management
  • Knowledge of key property compliance requirements, e.g. Lifts, Asbestos and Fire safety
  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing, both internally and externally
  • Ability to follow procedures, and to effectively plan and prioritise own workload and time
