Grade - Band 6

Sussex Community Foundation Trust is looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 District Nurses/Community Charge Nurses that have a passion for delivering high quality care within a community setting. We are looking for senior nurses to join and lead our highly skilled Community Nursing and Therapy Teams in Brighton and Hove Localities. 

Community experience is desirable but not essential as preceptorship will be offered and tailored to your needs, to build you confidence, knowledge and skills within the community setting. You will be expected to have or work towards the community specialist practitioner qualification. Do you have experience in managing and supporting a clinical team, demonstrate excellent clinical skills and believe in providing compassionate care towards your patients? We need nurses who are committed to delivering and supporting the health and social needs of patients within our community.

The primary role and responsibility for this post is to provide leadership towards the nursing team ensuring safe and effective practice. You will have responsibility for managing a caseload of patients supported by a Locality Operational Lead. As part of an integrated service you will also have access to a variety of specialist services and disciplines which are essential to our care delivery.

You will be required to work autonomously in all aspects of care delivery. This is an ideal opportunity for any experienced nurse who wants to develop their clinical knowledge, management skills and professional practice within the community.
