Are you an experienced Registered Manager / Home Manager with a passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities where you can obtain fantastic career progression while making a difference to the lives of others?

We have an exciting opportunity within a service who pride themselves on providing person centred care to the individuals who they support in Horsham, West Sussex.The service specialises in supporting individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities and physical disabilities so experience within this client group is essential.

The successful Registered Manager / Home Manager will be responsible for:

·To have contact with all departments of the organisation, Statutory Authorities, community services, GP’s and general suppliers to the home.

·Engaging with purchasers, health and social services representatives, relatives and external agencies.

·Managing all aspects of the Home within the agreed budget allocation and be responsible for the development both in terms of philosophy of care and business management to enable the Home to meet the requirements of the Care Quality Commission.

·To lead a multi-disciplinary team and enable/ensure that individual programmes of care are developed, executed and evaluated for each person supported.

·Maintaining a multi-disciplinary approach to care, and ensuring the environment acknowledges and respects the people who are supported to have rights to choice, freedom, dignity and an individual life style within the Home.Being the first point of contact for out of hours issues.

·Acting in accordance with legislation associated with care establishments and ensuring that the highest standard of appropriate care is always provided.

·To be conversant with and adhere to the policies and procedures in the care manual.

·Motivating and inspiring your teams to provide outstanding support through effective training, coaching and leadership by example.

·Acting as a role model and leader in the delivery of active support, you will empower the people you support to have active and fulfilling lives aligned with their needs and aspirations.

·Working collaboratively with the other members of the Service Leadership Team you will help to oversee and manage the smooth running of this service including rostering, support plans, staff deployment and managing budgets.


Requirements of a Registered Manager

·Having a strong understanding of best practice in delivering support to people with different needs and a passion for doing so.

·Having experience of management including appraisals, coaching, performance management, managing budgets and financial information, as well as ensuring an inclusive working environment.

·Excellent communication and people management skills and have knowledge and a good understanding of current CQC regulations and compliance within the new framework with a proven track record of quality assurance and service improvement.

·NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Nurse Qualified idea, however not essential.
