Senior Care Assistant, Burgess Hill
£10.50 per hour
Full-time, 45 hours a week, 7am-7pm or 7am-2pm / 2pm – 10pm
We are looking for Senior Care Assistant’s living close to the Burgess Hill area of West Sussex. This is an exciting opportunity to join an independent residential care home for older people living with Dementia. We have vacancies for day and night positions.
This is a role for an individual who is hungry for a challenge and has the leadership skills to motivate a staff team and help take the home to new high standards. As their Senior Care Assistant, you will be an inspirational leader who can help the Manager turn the home around. You will oversee the staff team on shift and ensure only the highest standards of care are provided at all. You will administer medication to residents and maintain medication records, as well as attending to the physical and emotional needs of each resident.
The home looks after up to 35 residents and has beautiful grounds. There is a homely environment where all residents are treated like family and the home cooked food is delicious. There are opportunities for residents to pursue hobbies and to help with gardening, as well as other fun activities.
What experience & qualifications are required?
* You will ideally hold Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent;
* You will have previous experience in a supervisory/senior role;
* You will be a strong leader, who is well organised and who puts residents and people you support at the heart of all you do.
