Grade - NHS AfC: Band 5

We are looking to appoint Children's nurses to work within our Rehabilitation Team supporting children and young people currently up to 25 years who require different forms of rehabilitation. We provide 24 hour nursing care to children & young people.

The team are currently looking for Band 5 nurses to join us in our unique and fascinating work.

The right person will need the following qualities:

  • To be able to play their part in the safeguarding of our young people.
  • To have an enthusiasm and passion for supporting children and young people to achieve their maximum potential
  • Be an excellent communicator, through a variety of methods with the patience to allow others to communicate.
  • Be able to see people as individuals and develop personalised care plans
  • To be able to address any altered health care needs, maintain & promote general well being
  • Be prepared to answer or help in finding answers to all manner of questions and concerns from the young people, carers and parents.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team but be happy to be the only nurse working alongside and supporting care staff

The work is shift based and will include night shifts, weekends and bank holidays. Because of the rural location of the service it would be helpful to have access to a car or other form of transport.

A lack of relevant experience should not deter anyone from applying: we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn new skills.

We welcome applications from Children's Nurses who are able to work throughout the 24 hour period. Hours are negotiable and would suit either full time or part time.

Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
