Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (MET) was created from the merger of City College Brighton and Northbrook College Sussex. We offer a comprehensive range of qualifications for 16-19 year olds, university degrees, full and part time courses for adults, apprenticeships and professional qualifications. The MET operates across five campuses in Brighton, Shoreham and Worthing.
More than 1,000 expert staff work with our students and this is an opportunity to create an outstanding teaching and learning environment to work with Human Resources and Support and Curriculum Heads to diagnose development needs for teams and to identify and develop talent, also to diagnose and respond to individual development needs to ensure all staff achieve their full potential.
You will be leading on the design and delivery of continual professional development for all college staff and with the assistance of a team of ‘coaches’, developing staff and designing resources actively identifying and supporting talent and addressing unsatisfactory performance. You will also be effectively setting, monitoring and managing budgets and other College resources.
You will require qualifications to at least level 5 and a teaching / training qualification with evidence of continuing professional development. You will also require a proven track record in driving quality improvement in organisational and / or teaching, learning and assessment settings with experience of designing and delivering successful development sessions / courses and coaching to individuals. Experience of effectively leading a team and supporting and developing staff to realise their full potential is also essential as is experience of operating as a manager and contributing to operational and budgetary plans.
