N.B. An Early Years qualification at Level 3 e.g. Years Care & Education, Childcare & Education or equivalent is required for this post.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sussex Community Foundation NHS Trust for 2 Community Nursery Nurses to join the dynamic and friendly Healthy Child Programme teams in the Brighton and Hove area.

We are recruiting 2 posts at 37.5 hours but can be flexible for the right candidates.  

Initially these posts will be on a fixed term contact for one year, with the possibility of permanent roles offered at the end of this period.

We are looking for qualified and experienced individuals who are enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed to bringing an excellent service to all our clients.

Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills, experience of interacting with children and families, an understanding of safeguarding issues, and excellent time management skills.

You will be working closely with the Health Visitors/School Nurse team to effectively deliver the Healthy Child Programme to 0-5 year olds, assist with Developmental Reviews and Healthy Child Clinics, and support parents in various community settings including home, clinics, and Children's Centres.

These posts will be citywide and you will need to be prepared to travel within Brighton and Hove to various community settings, either alone or as a part of a team, according to the needs of the service. 

Interviews will be at Hangleton Park Children's Centre on 14th March 2019.  

Applicant requirements This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
