My client are a market leading healthcare company within the medical device sector, and due to continued growth are currently searching for an Engineering Manager to join the team.
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the management and development of a team of engineers on an allocated shift pattern. As a part of the top-level manufacturing team, this person will work alongside the Operations, Quality Assurance and Planning Departments in driving through the focus, teamwork and support required to ensure the delivery of all of the key manufacturing KPI's to world class standards.
This is a result driven role concentrating on all aspects of machine performance and safety, the Engineering Manager will work to develop and manage a team of engineers, technicians and apprentices in delivering a proactive approach to performance and continuous improvement initiatives, in line with the manufacturing objectives and targets.
As part of the senior engineering group, this person will contribute to the direction and strategy of the department, and ensure excellent levels of communication between all shifts and sections of the department.
Experience required:
Experience gained in a fast-paced LEAN manufacturing environment
10 years Engineering experience
Leading and motivating a team of engineers
Processes - Good all-round engineering knowledge
Materials - Plastic processing
Pneumatics, pick & place robots
Automated manufactured
ISO 13485 or medical devices experience
This role is on a 4 on 4 off shift system (this role is 4 on 4 off - 12-hour days 06:00 to 18:00/38 hours per week - DAYS ONLY).
