Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant (AAT Level 3 or above)
Location: Uckfield (Due to location you will need your own transport)
Salary: £23k - £25k
Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-17.30 or 8.30 - 17.00pm

I have great pleasure in supporting our client in the recruitment of an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team based in their friendly offices near Uckfield.

You will be AAT Level 3 qualified or above to apply for this role

Responsibilities:

* Assisting in the preparation of monthly accounts
* Posting and allocating data on their accounts system, Xero and Sage line 50
* Daily banking and reconciliation
* Quarterly VAT returns
* Preparation of monthly payroll journals
* Updating internal spreadsheet on excel
* Preparing monthly supplier invoice batches
* Verifying purchase ledger invoices
* Assisting the financial controller in other ad-hoc duties

The right candidate will have the following skills and experience to get an immediate interview:

* AAT level 3 qualified
* Proven background within an accounts-based role ideally as am Assistant Accountant
* Great IT skills with Excel, Sage and SharePoint
* Great attention to detail
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Personable and friendly with strong communication skills
