Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with a neurological disability?

If the answer is YES then we have the opportunity for you.

A great opportunity has arisen for a children's nurse to work within the Residential School Nursing Team at Chailey Clinical Services (part of Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust). You will be supporting children, young people, young adults and their families with a range of neurological conditions within Chailey Heritage Foundation, a non maintained residential special school and children's home.

We are looking for an enthusiastic children's nurse to join our friendly team who possesses excellent clinical skills, communication skills, enjoys working as part of a busy team and is able to work independently. You will need to carry out comprehensive assessments, plan, implement and evaluate delivery of complex nursing interventions as part of our holistic approach, including supporting children who have long term ventilation requirements.

The service is supported by a team of Practice Development nurses who will ensure you are competent to meet the needs of the children residing within the services.

The successful candidate will be required to work within a 24hr, 7 day a week rota. As a complex care lead you will have opportunities within your working week to lead and develop clinical expertise as the service requires, including leading on specialist projects.

If you are looking for an exciting career move with a forward-thinking innovative team, we will look forward to hearing from you.

The role is demanding so the ability to work autonomously and manage a clinical caseload is essential.

Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
