My client is looking for an IT Business Partner to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting new role looking for someone with a strong Project Management and people centric background to help manage the demand coming into the IT department.
The IT Business Partner role has three key areas of focus:
● Strategic awareness and support - The post holder, as a trusted advisor is responsible for understanding the big picture across the whole of the organisation and for providing critical and strategic thinking to ensure alignment and collaborative working between projects.
● Business Relationship Management - The postholder manages the relationship between IT and the business, ensuring IT adds value and delivers outstanding service and value to both their internal
stakeholders and external customers. They provide broad knowledge around role of IT in each of the business areas.
● Demand Management - The postholder sets the direction and practice for managing demand for IT resources across the organisation and facilitate the creation of business cases.
Your role will be to:
·Maintain an awareness of activity across the organisation and how the strategies and objectives of each department interrelate.
·To assist IT teams in aligning with the business strategy by providing context and forward vision of the business requirements and plans.
·Initiate and pro-actively influence relationships with and between key stakeholders (Directors, AD’s and Heads of Department), advising them on opportunities to exploit new and existing solutions to derive maximum value from investment in technology.
·Support effective business change by building relationships with and between Project Management Office, Architects and operational business partners.
·Document the scope of projects and justify the investment requirement by IT and the stakeholders, ensuring effective sponsorship is in place.
·Work with stakeholders to ensure change proposals are effectively prioritised.
·Planning of overall IT Portfolio based on demand priorities and workload
·Ensure quality assurance around business change proposals, approve and
·prioritise IT resources for delivery.
Skills and experience needed;
Ability to communicate technology strategies and technical issues to both technical and business audiences
Strong Stakeholder management in order to promote change
Successful track record of IT project delivery and change programmes involving business process and change
Ability to meet deadlines, under pressure and while working in a fast paced, demanding environment.
Sound leadership capability in order to develop team members by inspiring, encouraging and providing guidance and feedback to help improve performance
Business process mapping, Conducting business process efficiency reviews
Project lifecycle management
Extensive relationship/account management experience.
Demonstrable experience of creating and delivering technology solutions
Experience of managing a demand pipeline and supporting business prioritisation
