Care Assistant
The Brighton Home is one of the Society’s earliest homes and has been extensively and tastefully refurbished. It offers a retirement living section as well as a separate residential care block. The Brighton Home has 21 residential care places and 13 single rooms.
Our enthusiastic and motivated care team provides care 24/7 for our residents. The Care Assistant’s role is vital in residential care of the elderly, promoting their health and well-being on a personal level.
Because we provide care 24/7, we especially need staff to work through the night, providing care and support to very frail, and sometimes sick residents.
We currently have opportunities for experienced Night Care Assistants who are compassionate and adaptable to join our Care Team in our residential care home for elderly people in Brighton (Flexible Part-time Contracts available). Are you able to:- Provide a high quality, professional service of care to our residents.
- Assist with all aspects of care, including personal care, end of life care, and nutritional help.
- Record nightly care entries on care plan system.
- Support residents to eat and drink.
- Treat others as individuals with unique and diverse needs.
- Treat our residents with dignity and respect.
- Get to know residents so as to comfort, assist and give reassurance when needed.
- Support our residents to keep independent and healthy and encourage them to be part of the community within the home.
- Assist with tidying, cleaning, laundering and other domestic tasks when needed.
- You need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have an empathy with them;
- You need to be able to work in a team and be willing to take on any task to provide an excellent level of care to our clients; and
- You need to be well-organised, adaptable and practical.
Hours: Flexible Part-time Contracts available (approximately three shifts per week).Bank Shifts also available to cover for sickness, absence, holiday and relief.
