Assistant Internal Auditor - B&CE

Here at B&CE we’re seeking an Assistant Internal Auditor to join our growing Internal Audit team.

You’ll be reporting directly to our Head of Internal Auditor who will support you in learning how to run an effective independent audit function which supports the business.

As an Assistant Internal Auditor, you’ll have great exposure across the wider business, helping deliver audits to a range of products and processes. Once trained and you’re ready to go you’ll be responsible for assisting in the provision of independent assurance that risk management, governance and internal control processes are operating effectively by assisting with the delivery of individual audits in accordance with the annual plan.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing the Terms of Reference for each assigned audit;
• Assist in determining the objective and scope of assigned audits as well as assisting in the development of the test plan;
• Perform assigned tests as part of fieldwork for individual audits;
• Conduct audit testing of specified area and identify reportable issues;
• Determine compliance with internal policies and procedures;
• Communicate findings to the Head of Internal Audit, and relevant stakeholders;
• Assist with or own the drafting of audit reports as appropriate, and
• Work with other assurance providers.

Right for this role:

• A-Levels and GCSEs or equivalent Grade A-C
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• An aptitude for coding that could be developed to assist on data analytics
• Willing and able to study for a professional qualification such as CIIA or ACCA
