A brand new private hospital in Brighton is holding a recruitment drive to find up to 150 new staff members ready for when it opens later this year.
The event will be held on Wednesday May 30, between 2pm and 7pm at Brighton and Hove Albion’s American Express Community Stadium in Falmer where the Montefiore Hospital’s management team will be looking for committed people to fill the following positions:
- Healthcare assistants
- Cleaning staff
- Kitchen staff
- Reception and admin
- Sales and Customer Services
James Dempster, the Montefiore Hospital’s Commercial Manager, said: “We aim to provide our patients with care that is second to none and to do that, we need people who are passionate about healthcare and committed to their work. I am sure there are a great many people with these qualities in the local area who would like to find out more about career opportunities at the Montefiore.
“Our new hospital will provide the people of Brighton and Hove with some of the most up-to-date private healthcare in the country and offer a full range of services. There are roles for people with all kinds of skills – both clinical and non-clinical- so we are expecting a lot of interest.”
The hospital, which is part of Spire Healthcare, will be situated in the old Legal and General building on the corner of Montefiore Road and Davigdor Road in Hove. It is currently undergoing development and is scheduled to open in the autumn. The redevelopment project has recently won an award for the best refurbishment of an existing building.
Spire Healthcare is the second largest provider of private healthcare in the UK and has won numerous honours at the Independent Healthcare Awards in both 2010 and 2011. The company runs 37 hospitals nationwide including four other sites in the south of England at Hastings, Portsmouth, Southampton and Gatwick.
