Local MP to host Jobs Fair on Friday at Brighton Centre

Simon Kirby MP for Kemptown & Peacehaven will be hosting a Jobs Far in Brighton this Friday (June 29), which aims to help young people in their search for employment and BrightonandHoveJobs.com will be attending!

The event is taking place at the Brighton Centre starting at 10am, and will see recruitment and HR experts presenting insider tips and techniques on how to secure a job quickly in a digital age.

A range of local organisations will also be on hand to share their knowledge and advice.

The free event is open to all of Mr Kirby’s constituents, but predominately aimed at those aged 18-24 who are looking for a job or an opportunity to enhance their career prospects.

Mr Kirby said:
“I am delighted at the interest that my Jobs Fair has attracted, and I’m looking forward to welcoming around 100 young people to the Brighton Centre on Friday.

“We have some great organisations on hand to offer guidance, including Brighton and Hove Jobs, City College, Apprenticeships UK, Brighton and Hove Jobcentre Plus, Avanta, The Youth Employability Service, Prime Care Community Services and The Plus Team.”

“I believe it will be a valuable experience and I hope people are able to spread the word to anyone they know that might benefit from the Jobs Fair.”

“There are still places available, and I encourage any young people who are interested in the event to register.”
