D&G Career Progression 2

John Bennett: Sales Advisor

“I decided to pursue a role within Domestic & General as I knew it was a business that was continuing to grow and expand, and I took on a role as a Sales Advisor. I’m happy to say it has been a very rewarding experience so far. The atmosphere is very upbeat and motivating, and I receive lots of support and encouragement in order to meet my goals. Domestic & General is very focused on the future and I have joined at an ideal time to be able to grow with them and be a part of the journey.”

Ben Thurstan: Sales Advisor to Resourcing Advisor

“I joined D&G as a front-line Sales Advisor, which helped me gain invaluable skills in sales and customer service, whilst building a strong business and commercial awareness which would go on to help me in my progression. I was progressed to a Team Leader position, which involved leading and managing a team of 15 people. After four years as a Team Leader, I moved again, this time into HR. It’s my job now to attract, interview and hire candidates for the roles which I’ve already worked in.”

Alice Crossfield: Sales Advisor to Team Leader

“I started as a Sales Advisor at the age of 22 and since then have been progressing through the company with development from management and in-house courses. I would say that when you show the passion and drive to do well, combined with the help from your manager, you get to where you need to be. I’ve enjoyed my time at Domestic & General so far and can’t wait to see what the future holds for me.”
