An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Reception/Customer Service Apprentice to join our team at the Ibis Hotel, Crawley.

Duties include:

  • Greeting guests upon arrival, dealing with any queries or requirements they have
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times
  • Ensure the needs of our customers always come first
  • Handles any guest complaints and/or remarks; provides a response as soon as possible
  • Has an impeccable attitude which conveys the image of the brand and hotel

Working week

  • 40 hours per week on a rota basis: this will include evening and weekend shifts

Training to be provided

  • NVQ Diploma – Customer Service level 2
  • Functional Skills qualification in mathematics (Level 1)
  • Functional Skills qualification in English (Level 1)
  • Personal Learning & Thinking Skills (PLTS)
  • Employment Rights & Responsibilities (ERR)

Desired skills

  • Able to follow instructions and be supervised
  • Strong Customer service skills e.g. good communication, polite, professional and attention to detail
  • To work safely and adhere to health and safety regulations and processes
  • Strong team player
  • Fluent in English language - spoken and written

  • Well presented
  • Good personal hygiene
  • Customer focused
  • Work well within a team
  • Able to work under pressure

Future prospects:

It is anticipated that upon successful completion of the apprenticeship qualification and assuming good performance, that a permanent position may be available.

Things to consider:

The role will involve standing most of the day and working in a busy environment during peak times.
