PA to the Deputy Heads
Lancing College is seeking to recruit a Personal Assistant to the Deputy Heads. This position is term time plus the equivalent of an additional 4.4 weeks per annum for 40 hours a week. The working week may be negotiable but in outline workings hours are 8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday with one hour unpaid lunch break.
The Personal Assistant to the Deputy Heads will have significant contact with current pupils and parents and staff, and some prospective parents, and it is therefore essential that they have excellent communication skills.
The post’s main function is to provide central administrative support of the College’s two Deputy Heads in the performance of their roles. Duties of the post will evolve as the role develops to meet the changing requirements of this busy and successful school and of the administrative support required by the Deputy Heads.
The ideal candidate will be a positive, self-motivated person, able to work unsupervised, and have a highly organised and methodical approach to work. They will also have the ability to deal effectively with confidential and sensitive information and will have excellent time management, and strong administrative, telephone and interpersonal communication skills.
We welcome applications from candidates who have proven professional experience and of working at senior management level. Some knowledge of, and empathy with, the independent school sector would be advantageous but not essential.
