Our client, a successful, civil and Structural firm based in Hove are actively looking to expand its Structural team following several exciting major contract wins across the South East that will embrace their expertise in well-designed higher rise developments set amongst waterside/marine edge.

As the largest Civil, Structural & Marine consultancy in the South East, they have a varied project portfolio that extends across the Residential, Commercial, Public, Industrial and Marine sectors.

Based just a few minutes from Hove seafront and 10 minutes from the Centre of Brighton with excellent transport links around the city.

Working as a Structural Engineer you will;

• Developing detailed designs, preparing calculations in all major materials
• Scheme designing to aid design development establishing stability, structural solution and basic grid/construction layouts in sketch format
• Analysing structural components
• Liaising with other professionals, to resolve detailed information and develop design through scheme stages through to construction
• Coaching others including our Degree Apprentices/Technicians & Graduates to assist their development
• Working with autonomy to complete assigned project work

In order to be considered for this Structural Engineer role you will;

Experience & Qualifications:

• BEng/MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Experience of Structural Design across sectors and all key structural materials
• Experience using Eurocodes and British Standards

Essential skills/competencies

• Excellent communication skills
• Enthusiasm, ambition and ownership over professional development
• Sound technical knowledge
• FEM Analysis & analysis modelling
• Detailed understanding and use of Analytical/Design and CAD software
• Experience of working in or with a multi-disciplinary design consultancy
• Capability to work to deadlines and work autonomously when required

Desired attributes:

• Revit experience advantageous
