We are looking to expand our team of dedicated support workers in Eastbourne, and are looking for caring and enthusiastic relief support workers to support adults with a learning disability.

At our Eastbourne Supported Living service we provide support to a total of eight adults, allowing them to live the lives they choose to live. As a Support Worker your key responsibilities will include assisting them with general household duties, such as offering financial support with budgets, preparing tasty meals and going out into the community - this may include a trip to the Congress Theatre to watch some of the evening shows - do you know the words to `we will rock you`? There would also be some personal care involved, full training will be provided.

You will also support the people within the service with their favourite hobbies. Some of these hobbies include going fishing, going to drama groups and having meals out - particularly to the trident, the only place you should go for fish and chips. It is important that the people we support are treated as individuals as the levels of skills and need vary across the service - although one thing remains consistent, we all love to laugh!

Shifts are on a rota basis, with everyone working two weekends out of three and include mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep-ins. Flexibility is important as all our shifts will be spread across the weekdays and weekends.

As a support worker, all you`ll need to have is a positive attitude and a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. If you support the people we support, we will support you with award winning training and progression opportunities throughout your career with us.

If this sounds like you, we`d love to hear from you!
