Quality Engineer

Location: Horsham

Salary: £30k-£35k

A new position has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join an exciting Scientific Engineering company based in the heart of West Sussex who design and manufacture high end instrumentation for the medical industry as well as the scientific community. The Quality Engineer, whose experience from within the Mechanical Engineering world, will assist in providing QA support to manufacturing and assembly areas of this exciting business.

This is a dynamic position in which the Quality Engineer will get to learn from some excellent time-served Engineers, whilst developing upon their skills to become a pivotal person within the business. They will carry out mechanical and electro-mechanical inspection of their products, whilst assisting with the preparation of quality plans.

The Quality Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

• A background from within Mechanical/Electro-mechanical engineering
• Preferably extensive experience of carrying out internal auditing and maintenance of the ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 (any experience in ISO 14001 and even 45001 will be of sincere value.
• Experience of implementing corrective actions from audits and non-conformances be it manufacturing, supplier quality related etc.
• Quality control experience would highly advantageous i.e. using Callipers, Verniers, CMM etc.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
