Great opportunity for someone who would like to work in the hospitality industry, and learn to be a chef, to join the friendly team of this busy restaurant.

You will be supporting our team of chefs and will be involved in the preparation of lunch and dinner.  We offer good quality food using seasonal produce and locally sourced ingredients and pride ourselves on making a lot of our dishes from scratch.

All our food is freshly cooked to order and for the successful applicant duties will include:

• Preparation, presentation and serving of meals as set out on the menu
• Assisting with the preparation and cooking of starters, main meals and desserts
• Assisting with making home-made sauces, soups and gravies from scratch
• Butchery skills – some of the meat we purchase requires a small amount of butchering, e.g. game
• Filleting fish
• Putting away deliveries of food stocks and other supplies and understanding stock rotation
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene, health and safety in the kitchen areas
• Cleaning of cookers, fridges, freezers and other kitchen equipment
• Some washing-up

Our menu changes to reflect seasonal produce. A uniform will be provided as well as meals and drinks during your session
