Knowledge Management Unit Overview
Itad’s Knowledge Hub leads on knowledge management and communications both internally and externally. Our growing, multi-disciplinary team combines information technology, communications, branding and design with technical consultants and learning facilitators. The team is involved in many aspects of the business, working to support effective knowledge capture and sharing through improved systems and tools; supporting company learning through internal communications and events and by helping our staff deliver high quality work through technical support and quality assurance
Externally, Knowledge Hub manages the development and sharing of high quality, innovative content based on our exciting project work and contributes to knowledge and debate international development monitoring, evaluation and learning.
We are recruiting for a Communications officer to oversee the smooth running of our internal and external communications activities. You will be supporting the creation and implementation of our communications activities including updating new and existing staff on our objectives and working with senior staff to develop their business specific approaches.
You will have day to day responsibility for our website and social media content, ensuring that you are aware of internal and external activities that are relevant and are able to plan and schedule updates to optimise impact. A key aspect of this is to boost engagement with our brand and use various analytic tools to provide advice and guidance across all levels of the team.
Working with internal and external consultants you will also be supporting specific project communications through multi-media platforms by editing and drafting content for project communications and plans and joint activities with our clients.
You will have an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and experience of writing and copy-editing using various tools and platforms. We know you will be at the start or your career but experience within a professional environment is essential along with strong written and interpersonal communication skills. You will be able to demonstrate how you have been able to work within a team and prioritise your own workload.
The salary for this role is up to £25K depending on your skills and experience.
