Assessor Trainer in Horticulture
£20,878 - £22,817 per annum
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
We are recruiting for an enthusiastic, experienced and qualified Assessor Trainer to be part of our successful Horticulture apprenticeship team, mainly supporting level 2/3 apprentices. The role will support the development of apprentices’ knowledge, skills and behaviours throughout their programme and to ensure timely achievement of their training and qualifications in partnership with employers.
You will have a comprehensive working knowledge of both Horticulture Framework pathways and Apprentice Standards covering Landscape and Sports Turf.
The role will require you to visit workplaces to carry out observations and professional discussions, assessment of portfolios and deliver occasional subject specific workshops. You will apply theoretical and practical learning in the work environment and collaborate with colleagues and employers to meet learners’ needs and achieve their potential.
The Chichester College Group is the largest provider of further education in Sussex and is comprised of 3 Colleges: one at Chichester, one at Crawley and one at Brinsbury near Pulborough, which is land-based. You will be mainly based at the Brinsbury Campus and may be required to travel between sites.
