Experience
We are looking for a Sous Chef to oversee our modern English cuisine restaurant and banqueting for up-to 350 covers and the lounge and room service operations. You will support the Executive Head Chef and the Senior Sous Chef in the smooth running of this five star kitchen operation working 5 days over 7. You need to have:
- Experience of menu planning and writing
- Managing stock and adhering to food cost guidelines
- Oversee the production and service of food in accordance to agreed high standards
- A high level of understanding of health and safety and food safety guidelines
- Ability to work under pressure, showing leadership skills with multiple functions happening simultaneously
- Deputise in the absence of the Executive Head Chef in all matters operational, financial and personnel.
- Have excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
- Have excellent people management and financial management skills.
