Project Manager – J1806
For our client based in Eastbourne we are currently looking for a Project Manager to join their team.
Summary of Role
* The main purpose of this role is to understand, interpret and manage projects within the business.
* You will be required to plan, execute the projects, monitor and control risk, scope and schedule.
* You will be reporting to the Project Department manager and will be working within a small team comprising of yourself, Document Controller and Product Engineer.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Ensure the project meets the agreed project milestones and is delivered on time
* First point of contact for the Client from PO placement to project completion
* Overall responsibility for the documentation status/approval of the project
* Ensure project risks and issues are identified
* Manage customer driven and internal project changes
* Report on a weekly basis the status of each project to the Management team
Qualifications & Skills required:
* Degree level (Engineering Desired) or minimum of 5 years in a similar role
* Prince 2 or similar project management qualification would be desirable
* Strong leadership
* Contractual knowledge, payment terms, liquidated damages, shipping releases etc
* Highly organised and able to manage own workload
* Decision maker
* Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
* Capable of dealing with high pressure situations
Level of Authority
* A suitable candidate will be able to manage own workload within the confines of the project schedule
* Happy to discuss and resolve risks and opportunities directly with the customer.
* Able to manage customers and vendors, where required, to progress projects
* Able to direct internal customers, where required, to progress projects
