Service Engineer required. Our client is a leading renewable energy installation contractor, specialising in heat pumps, solar PV, and biomass systems who are looking for a Service Engineer to join their engineering team based in Surrey.

The service engineer will be responsible for carrying out routine service and maintenance of renewable energy systems i.e. air source and ground source heat pumps, biomass boilers, and solar PV systems. These duties will include site visits to conduct both plumbing and electrical fault finding and repairs. The majority of the work will be conducted within the South East of England, however, the may be the occasional requirement to travel further afield and stay away if necessary.

The ideal candidate will come from a background in heating or electrical controls. Previous experience within a service or breakdown role is required, and the service engineer must be able to fault find. A knowledge of Heat Pump, Biomass or Solar systems would be advantageous, however, full training can be provided.

Service Engineer Position Overview

* Routine servicing and maintenance of renewable systems

* Site visits to conduct plumbing & electrical fault finding and repairs

* Telephone technical support to clients, other engineers and internal staff as necessary

* Inspection visits for service and maintenance contracts

* Keeping accurate records of work completed within appropriate timescales

Service Engineer Position Requirements

* Previous experience within a service/maintenance role with the ability to fault find

* Previous experience/knowledge of Heat Pump installations

* An understanding of flushing, inhibitors and additives in heating systems

* Mechanical qualifications i.e. F Gas Category 1 qualification

* Electrical qualifications i.e. 17th or 18th Edition / BS7671 qualification

* Good knowledge of building regulations; Particularly Parts L, G, and P

* Full clean UK driving licence

Service Engineer Position Remuneration

* Salary £26,000 to £40,000 depending on qualifications and experience

* Company vehicle with tools and van stock

* Uniform and PPE

* On call and stay away rewards in addition to salary

* Training will be provided

* 20 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays
