We are currently recruiting for a Trade Counter Assistant based in Crawley to join our clients great, positive team on a temporary to permanent basis.

Working within trade counter you will take a proactive role in exceeding customer’s expectations and also be required to help out in the warehouse. This is a key role providing the branch with its continued commitment to providing a high quality service to its customers and ensuring all current and future sales opportunities are maximised.

Previous experience within a Builders Merchant environment is not essential, however, sales ability, customer service skills and computer skills are imperative.

To succeed you will demonstrate not only excellent interpersonal skills but also the ability to utilise your IT skills to ensure the sales administration is completed effectively.

The ideal candidate:-

• Computer literate

• Has strong attention to detail

• Team player

• Is well planned and structured in delivery of customer requirements

• Has previously sold or assisted customers with purchases

• Has excellent customer service skills and can naturally generate relationships with new and existing trade and retail customers

• Builds rapport and can interpret customers idea’s and is able to adapt them

• Instils trust and confidence

• Is committed to delivering an outstanding level of service
