CHILDREN'S REGISTERED HOME MANAGER - 5 BEDDED THERAPEUTIC SERVICE - TEENAGE CHILDREN - SURREY/SUSSEX BORDER - INNOVATIVE RESIDENTIAL AND EDUCATIONAL PROVIDER - £36K - 45K DOE- ENHANCEMENTS - PENSION + PRIVATE HEALTHCARE + ANNUAL LEAVE


White Knight Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a forward thinking provider of residential care settings and education for children and young people in the local area. They are actively looking for a Registered Children's Home Manager.
This provider have worked extensively with children who had suffered from exploitation and want to provide a specialist model to support these children. They now operate a variety of specialist services and is seeking a Residential Home Manager for their 5 bedded residential home supporting young women.


The Registered Manager main responsibilities will be to facilitate the achievement of excellent outcomes for the young people in line with every child matters, along with high standards from inspections by applying good leadership and management of the home.


Responsibilities:
·To provide leadership and management of the home.
·To maintain an in depth knowledge of The Children's Homes Regulation and Quality Standards Children Act, other relevant legislation and guidance and company policy and procedure.
·To manage the home to safeguard and promote the well-being of the young people. To ensure that the welfare of the young women is the paramount consideration in the provision of the service
·To manage the homes staff team.
·To manage a quality service aiming to achieve a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating.
·To provide a therapeutic environment that promotes and supports young people’s recovery from their abusive and traumatic life experiences.
·To represent the home to outside agencies and ensure compliance with the statutory requirements imposed by them and requirements of commissioners.
·To work with the wider management team to contribute to the planning and development of the Children’s Services and to provide management support to other areas of the service needing this.
·To maintain occupancy levels that are both commensurate with the business needs of the service and needs of the young people placed.

Qualifications and Experience
·Desirable - Level 5 Diploma Leadership and Management for Residential Child Care or CYP Social work qualification or NVQ4 or or other equivalent Qualification
·Essential - Level 3 Diploma Residential Child Care or equivalent
·Desirable - Therapy or therapeutic care qualification or training

·Experience managing a residential child care service.Ability to evidence positive outcomes inc good inspection reports.

·Significant experience as a residential child care worker.
·Work with children and young people with complex needs who have experienced abuse and trauma.
·Work with young people who present with a range of disturbed, problematic and challenging behaviours.
·Experience of therapeutic services and interventions.
